Welcome to an inspiration day for choir directors with Isaac Cates – choir director, singer, pianist and composer from Kansas City (USA). With his background in classical music and with roots in gospel/soul, Isaac works with enriching encounters between different styles and genres. Isaac Cates will, from a leadership perspective, focus on choir as a place of growth and how he works with voice and choir sound. During the day, there will also be “Choir Leader of the Year” Jonas Engström, who, just like Isaac, is involved in the work with the importance of music for young people’s mental health.

10.00  – The Choir – Isaac shares his experience of the choir as a unique instrument and a breeding ground based on many years of working with choirs around the US and Europe.

12.00 – Lunch on your own

13.30 –  The Voice – Isaac shares through theory and practice how he works with the voice. Both with the choral sound in their own choir and in individual coaching of soloists.

15.30 –  Rounding off and time for questions
